Risk of cervical precancer and cancer among HIV-infected women with normal cervical cytology and no evidence of oncogenic HPV infection. - 09-25-2012

Results show that the risk for cervical precancer is similar for both HIV infected and uninfected women with normal Pap Smears who are oncogenic HPV negative. These findings, alone or inconjunction with additional studies, may result in the revision of cercival cancer screening guidelines for HIV infected women.
