Assets/Catalog

The CTSA Consortium has undertaken a large cataloging initiative in order to obtain a broad collection of information on clinical and translational (C&T;) science assets across the Consortium. The list of assets is highly diverse and spans the entire spectrum of C&T; research, from early discovery to community engaged and comparative effectiveness research. A searchable data display is currently under development; preliminary aggregate data are currently available below.

Clinical Research Units by Institution

Points on the map below represent CTSA sites where this particular catalogued asset is present.

Clinical Research Units

Clinical Research Units (CRUs) provide Research Project Managers (RPMs), regulatory support, Quality Assurance and monitoring services, Research Subject Advocates (RSAs), nursing care, coordinator services, space and dedicated facilities that support the conduct of inpatient and outpatient studies. CRUs are one of the most critical pieces of clinical and translational research infrastructure across the CTSA Consortium. The survey used to collect data for this asset was developed by members of the Clinical Services Core Key Function Committee, who generously allowed incorporation of the data into the Cataloging Project.

Acknowledgements: Many Consortium members generously provided expert feedback and guidance on the asset definitions and variables, which added immense value to the project. Additionally, many surveys used to collect data were developed by Strategic Goal Committees, Key Function Committees, and committee workgroups. In these instances, data collection and sharing is done as a collaborative effort.
