Chicago Consortium for Community Engagement
Visit Web SiteC3 represents a collaborative project of Northwestern University, the University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of Chicago. C3's mission is to foster collaboration among Chicago CTSAs as they engage communities in research partnerships. C3 is committed to finding new ways to disseminate and apply information about research findings. Each year, since 2008, the Otho S. A. Sprague Memorial Institute has supported the development of C3's commitment to coordinated community engagement efforts. This year, C3 will co-sponsor an introductory Community Based Participatory Research Learning Institute where academic-community teams will be trained on building partnerships and conducting community engaged research. C3 will also co-sponsor its second full-day, joint training seminar on Community-Based Participatory Research 101 which will include academic and community partners interested in conducting work in CBPR in Chicago. C3 is conducting its own process evaluation to gain insight about the climate and development of partnering among multiple academic institutions around community engaged research in Chicago. C3's seminars and activities continue to engage a broad and emerging network of Chicago academic institutions in dialogue and collaborative community-engaged research.
