Community Engagement Consultative Service (CECS) Phase One:

The Strategic Goal Committee Four is pleased to announce the completion of the first phase of the Community Engagement Consultative Service (CECS). CECS is designed to provide each CTSA with an expert consultant(s) in community engagement to address the CTSAs identified CE best practices of interest and need.

Partnership-Driven Resources to Improve and Enhance Research (PRIMER):

The Strategic Goal Committee Four is pleased to announce the completion of the Partnership-Driven Resources to Improve and Enhance Research (PRIMER) project. PRIMER identified and addressed research infrastructure needs that were commonly reported by Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) representatives, and those in Practice-Based Research Networks (PBRN). 

White Paper on CTSA Consortium Role in Facilitating Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER):

The Strategic Goal Committee Four is pleased to announce the completion of the White Paper on CTSA Consortium Role in Facilitating Comparative Effectiveness Research.  This White Paper focuses on how the CTSA Consortium might best facilitate comparative effectiveness research for NIH’s Institutes and Centers (ICs), other Federal agencies, outside stakeholders, and the healthcare system overall.  This White Paper offers some specific suggestions for how the CTSA Consortium might support this emerging and crucial national effort to generate, synthesize, and disseminate CER in order to improve health care decision-making and health outcomes.  

Researchers and Their Communities: The Challenge of Meaningful Community Engagement

The Strategic Goal Committee Four is pleased to announce the completion of the Best Practices in Community Engagement summary: Click to view. The report provides meeting proceedings from the CTSA Community Engagement KFC 2007-2008 regional and national workshops and conferences summarizing community engagement best practices and is now available for use and dissemination.

CTSA Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER) Capacity and Needs Assessment:

The Strategic Goal Committee Four is pleased to announce the completion of the CTSA Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER) Capacity and Needs Assessment.: Click to view. The report provides a finalized summary regarding the capacity for the conduct of CER in various academic health centers across the country as well as an overview of how academic institutions would utilize resources to build additional capacity to conduct CER, in terms of training or enhanced research.
